Established in 1996, Paci Restaurant, housed in a renovated depot station in Southport, CT, boldly set the benchmark and standard in offering the highest quality of foods. Chef Robert redefines the classic Italian cuisine and creates seasonal menus using only the freshest meats, fish, seafood, veal and organic produce locally farmed. Delicate handmade pastas and elegant desserts are carefully prepared daily. Expect daily menu changes as Chef Robert delights with his innovative seasonal fare.


Paci Restaurant is located at the Southport train station. The timeless design emphasizes the authenticity of the original depot station built in the 1800s. Exposed beams and bricks pay homage to the space’s original use, as does a railroad-watch-style clock. This unique design was created by Ferris Architects and won the New England and Connecticut award from the AIA and the 1997 National Award of Excellence in Architecture and Interior Design from the James Beard Foundation.

The menu is a showcase of modern classic Italian cuisine. Paci set the benchmark 19 years ago as the first to offer a seasonally driven farm-to-table menu. Owner Chef Robert sources produce, fruits, and herbs cultivated from local farms. He carefully selects only the highest-quality meat, veal, seafood, and fish. Homemade pastas and desserts – including ice cream and sorbet – are delicately crafted on the premises.

Chef Robert personally designed his Wine Spectator Award winning wine cellar which features a collection of rare vintages as well as daily hand selected premier offerings by the glass or bottle to compliment any meal.
